Fr. Ernesto Torres cjm Returns to Rome

"You think that once you're ordained, you're done with formation. You're not. You never are." This is Fr. Ernesto´s reflection on the intensive program he has begun at the Pontifical University Gregorianum in Rome.

During his first year at the St. Peter Favre Center for Formators for the Priesthood and Consecrated Life, Fr Ernesto's courses have focused on the psychological and spiritual foundation that must be present in a healthy consecrated life. Learning - and often undergoing - these processes of psychological evaluation and growth, Father is accumulating valuable tools that will equip him to be a "shepherd to the shepherds," as St. John Eudes always wanted his priests to be.

While in Rome, he lives at the Eudist General House with Fr. Camilo Bernal CJM, our Superior General, and the rest of the local community. He is able to participate in the international life of the CJM, even attending the ordination of Fr. Luc Crepy CJM as bishop in the diocese of Puis-en-Velay in France last February.

After spending a short summer vacation with his family in Mexicali, Fr. Ernesto has just retorned to Rome to begin his final year. Let's keep him in our prayers!
