Last autumn 2014 and then in the spring 2015, we met some developers who brought a clear picture of the situation for the future of the Family house in Charlesbourg, in which, as it was shared in a letter in the month of May, the developers told us that the property has a big potential, but the actual building cannot be retrofitted as it would be extremely expensive. We continue to explore our options and thanks be to God, we still have time to do so. But soon enough in the coming two years, we will have to have something defined and ready to go; we are working hard for it.
It is not an easy task, since we have to be aware of different details and processes to be followed starting by the wellbeing of the confreres on site, and then a different timeline and process for the archives, library, provincial quarters, administration; all those processes need to start soon.
This coming month of November, we will gather again to hear from M. Bouchard the latest advances in our exploration of possibilities and scenarios for the house.
